This is an anime film. I wasn’t bored, but I wasn’t riveted either. I’d say this is more of a rental, although the animation was incredible. 3.5/5

Sicko

This is another Michael Moore documentary. Its about the current state of US health care. It really made me appreciate living in Canada, but it also made me want to be more vigilant about the changes our government is making to our own health care system.

The documentary was funny, sad, and infuriating all at once. I really hope Americans pay attention to this and start fighting for a system that includes everyone and where profit isn’t the only consideration.

This is a must-see for everyone. I give it 5/5 stars.

Keeping Mum

This movie was fun with a splash of evil. I liked it a lot! Great movie to watch with the family. It stars Rowan Atkinson, Kristin Scott Thomas, Maggie Smith and Patrick Swayze. 3.85/5 stars.

The Host (Korean with English subtitles)

This is a Korean Horror film. It was funny… VERY funny. It had a level of silliness I have not seen in a horror film for a long time!

There’s a horrible mutant water creature thing eating everyone. Does it get any better? 4.5/5 stars (I’m more generous with stars for horror films)

Blades of Glory

This movie was lots of fun! I laughed a lot. I thought it was going to be all gay jokes (pairs skating with two men), but they mixed it up and I was pleasantly surprised.

The movie is full of great lines and silliness. I want to go see it again! 4/5 Stars
